Atlanta Beats Brooklyn 129-127

On Sunday at State Farm Arena the Atlanta Hawks continued their homestand hosting the Brooklyn Nets in a matinee match. Atlanta came into this contest after grabbing a 136-119 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. Today they grabbed their second post All-Star break win, beating Brooklyn 129-127. 

Trae Young today played 34 minutes and put 34 points on the board for the Hawks. He had three rebounds and eight assists. He’s poured in 10+ points in 66 straight games, poured in 30+ points for the 20th time this season, dished out at least five assists in each of his 20 outings, and he has swiped at least one steal in ten straight games.

Dejounte Murray played 33 minutes today and finished with 28 points, three rebounds and four assists. Murray has knocked down at least three triples in 18 games this season, marking the most such games in a single season in his career.

The Hawks continue their homestand on Tuesday night, hosting the Wizards for the first of four contests between the two clubs. The Hawks took last year’s series 3-1 after dropping the first game and winning the next three
