With the 2023 NBA All-Star break behind us, the Hawks on Friday night returned to State Farm Arena to kick-off a four-game homestand, and they grabbed the W tonight with a 136-119 win against Cleveland.
The Hawks have scored 100-or-more points in 35 straight games, marking the second-longest active such scoring streak in the NBA and the fourth-longest such scoring streak in franchise history.
Trae Young played 32 minutes in tonight’s contest and put 34 points on the board. He had three rebounds and nine assists. Tonight was Young’s 15th 30+ game, and he has extended his streak of 10+ points and 5+ assists to 65 straight games, just one game shy of tying Magic Johnson (66) for the fourth-longest such streak in NBA history.
Dejounte Murray played 35 minutes tonight and put 25 points on the board. He had nine rebounds and eight assists. Murray owns 25 games this season with 29+ points.
Saddiq Bey played 28 minutes tonight, and he finished this contest with 19 points. He had four rebounds and one assist. Bey has connected on five-or-more triples for the sixth time this season and 29th time in his career. His 29 5+ 3FGM outings are the second-most by any member of the 2020 NBA Draft class.
The Hawks will be back on the court at State Farm Arena on Sunday for a meeting with Brookyln in game two of this four-game homestand.
