Georgia Tech Falls To The Pittsburgh Panthers, 76-68

Tuesday night, Georgia Tech resumed their Atlantic Coast Conference schedule following a 79-56 win over Division II Florida Tech Saturday. Georgia Tech traveled to Pittsburgh for a 7 p.m. contest at the Petersen Events Center.

Georgia Tech has won three of their last four games, and while they were looking for a win tonight, it instead would be the Pittsburgh Panthers getting the W with a 76-68 win. 

Miles Kelly, who played 37 minutes tonight, finished with 24 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Tonight, Ws Kelly’s 20th double-digit game this season. He’s reached double figures in three straight games, averaging 17 points and hitting 18-of-39 from the floor and 11-of-26 from three-point range. 

Kyle Sturdivant, who played 37 minutes tonight, finished with sixteen points, three rebounds, and five assists. Tonight was Sturdivant’s tenth double-digit game this season. 

Sturdivant has averaged 11.6 points over his last seven games, having reached double figures in five of them. He has made 15-of-35 from three-point range over that stretch.

Following tonight’s game, Georgia Tech, head coach Josh Pastner said, “we just gotta jeep getting better. Proud of our guys on their compete in their battle.”
