The second event of the night after the Skills challenge would be the three point competition.
The competition would see eight players participate with Buddy Heild and Tyreese Halliburton from the Indiana Pacers, Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, Jayson Tatum Boston Celtics, Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz, Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat, Kevin Huerter from the Sacramento Kings, and Julius Randle from the New York Knicks. Randle replaced Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trail Blazers.
The five racks with a money ball rack, along with two deep starry shots, would see the size go from eight to three.
Kevin Huerter would be the only contestant to not score over 10 points, scoring eight in his only round. Randle and Herro would each score under 20 with 13 and 16, respectively. Tatum and Markkenen would each score 20 points.
Those five would only go around once as they wouldn’t advance. Buddy Heild and Tyreese Halliburton teammates on the Pacers would both make it to the final round. With 23 and 31 respectively. Lillard would put up 26 points.
The three of them would square off with Heild going first would score 25 points. Lillard would use the Starry balls worth three points to get him over the hedge with 26. Haliburton would struggle only scoring 17 in the first round.
Damian Lillard, who light them up and shoot his way into a three point contest win.
